All summer, Klopp insisted no other midfielder was needed, only to change his mind as teams headed toward the last hurdle to seal deals.

It didn’t help matters, either for the Reds or Arthur, who joined the club half-cooked and now has to get back up to speed, hence his back with the Under-21s.

Despite talking about potential concerns about Arthur and whether he could head to the exit door just before he entered, Balaghi put it all to bed and shared what Klopp had told him.

β€œHe is a player who has played for Barcelona and Juventus, try to do that,” said Balaj.

“He’s happy he’s playing. There were all these stories, just two weeks ago, about Liverpool wanting to get rid of him. Everyone denied him.

β€œI know Klopp went to Arthur and said ‘I love how you understand the system and I love the work you do, so keep working.’ And he takes that on board.”

Arthur’s big chance of impact

This is a huge opportunity for Arthur to turn this loan deal into a permanent deal and ensure he remains a Liverpool player next season.

The Reds are screaming for more mid-park quality, and their careless start to the new season is proof of that.

Therefore, Arthur can use this opportunity to wow the fans, his new manager and his teammates because that door is open.

And so far, he appears to be doing so as he progresses through the international break, in order to be as ready as possible when the Premier League football resumes.
