Jack Grealish has given the green light to Graeme Souness after being invited for a night out by the former Liverpool captain – But only if he can bring Paul Pogba with him.

He has targeted Souness Grealish on several occasions in recent weeks, insisting in his last game Sportsmail The column in which the Manchester City winger must learn to live with negative comments.

Grealish didn’t take long to accept Souness’s invitation, but he couldn’t resist mocking his biggest critics by inviting Pogba – who has also drawn scrutiny from Souness on frequent occasions in the past – to accompany them.

Along with two laughing emojis, the England international responded to the talkSPORT segment on Twitter and said: ‘Let’s do it!! As long as I can bring Pogba as +1’.

It comes on the heels of an ongoing dispute between the pair, with Souness claiming Grealish has not improved since his £100m move from Aston Villa last summer.

The 27-year-old scored his first goal of the season last weekend against Wolverhampton, having scored just three league goals in his first season with Citizens.

Souness had said he was “not a quick learner”, prompting the player to respond: “I don’t know what his problem is with me. He always says things about me.”

I try not to read too much of it. It’s tough when he’s on Sky Sports and everywhere around the training ground sometimes. Obviously he was a great player and won a lot but I don’t know what he is with what he says about me or what the problem is he has.

Souness, who has spent five decades in football, insists he has no “revenge” against Grealish or Pogba, who he also criticized during his time at Manchester United.

About the current Juventus star, he said: “When I was facing Paul Pogba, it was because it was Man United and I think I was the first to call Pogba as a regular player in our league. I think I was proven 100 percent right at the end of the day.

French midfielder Pogba, 29, is currently playing for Italian club Juventus after his contract at Old Trafford expired in the summer.

Grealish is currently on the England mission, before returning for the Manchester derby on 2 October.
